Sustainable agriculture is a cornerstone of our brand and we have teamed up with seven different growers on Seneca Lake who align with these values. The Finger Lakes is a special place and we intend to do our part to keep it that way! Each growing site is unique and is expressed eventually through the wines themselves that we make from each block. Being a small production winery here at Barnstormer, we have the ability to really focus on small acreage plantings of different grape varieties. With a heavy focus on Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Blaufränkisch, we have sought out growers who are able to grow exceptional examples of these grapes and we honor most bottlings with a single vineyard designation on the label. We manage quality in the vineyard and pick some of our vineyards by machine and some by hand, to ensure only the highest quality grapes go into our fermenters.
